Asian American Histories at the University of Michigan
This project includes eleven exhibits describing the trajectory of Asian and Asian Americans at UM-Ann Arbor.
Examining different facets of Asian and Asian American people’s experiences, the project includes histories of organizing in the 1970s, early collaborations with international students, LGBTQ+ activism, and multicultural spaces. The exhibits draw from historical newspapers, newly published archives of Asian American organizations, interviews, and secondary literature.
