Paths of Protest: Histories of Student Activism on Campus
This is a digital version of a walking tour of Ann Arbor sites related to student and campus protests from the 1960s to the present.
Stopping at buildings such as the Rackham Graduate School, the Trotter Multicultural Center, and the Spectrum Center, this tour focuses on identity politics and labor activism and covers topics like women’s rights, racial equality, sexual orientation, gender diversity, graduate union labor issues, and protests against sweatshops. In addition to earlier protests, this tour also includes contemporary movements, such as the Hail to the Victims protest regarding victims of sexual assault held in front of the President’s House.
