The Environmental Action for Survival (ENACT) Teach-In of 1970
The Environmental Justice Lab produced this twenty-minute documentary on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020.
Using extensive archival photographs, as well as documents, ephemera, news footage, and contemporary recordings, the documentary explains the origins of Environmental Action for Survival (ENACT) teach-in at UM-Ann Arbor and provides detailed accounts of the teach-in events from March 11 to March 14, 1970. In addition, it explores the impact of these efforts on environmental initiatives such as recycling.
